Ended my 3rd week on Friday, starting my last week tomorrow. Kind of glad but feeling the mountain of pressure too. Not so sure if I'll be fully prepared for my exam on the 9th of August but hey have no choice here right?!
My 3rd week was great, firstly collected almost all my signatures, have got 1 left yippey :-D, was in the ICU for critical patients. Was assigned to a patient, whom am meant to check up everyday and draw up a case report for my final exam.
My patient has gone through so much in this life, but in the ICU for a stroke affecting the left side of his body (weakness/paresis), with aphasia but totally improved, boy am I glad :-)
Every morning I checked his blood pressure and greeted him which he will answer and go on saying something and I feel so helpless can't even say some words of encouragement. But for sure I pray for him and many more of them in my heart.
I really wish people who are unappreciative of their life will spend a day in the hospital and see what they have and cherish it with their heart, and thank God for good health.
Yes yes the week was ward round each day, consultation and duty. Imagine what will you expect when students are around for practices and research or whatever? That some services will be available right? Okay look at this a library downtown is closed for the summer, the library at school opens weekdays till 6pm and Tb (some building) that usually closes 12am closes at 7pm. Most of us students around are doing our rotation and preparing the exams and need a place to keep us grounded till probably 9pm lol will have to discipline myself at home (no tv, internet & all forms of distraction) ;-)
My friends till next time, wish you a fruitful week and me a stress free last week and remember to pray for the sick.
Yours truly
Mee :-)
